JOHN HARRISON Miss Gossett Weds John Harrison In Baptist Church in Temple Miss Barbara Jean Gossett became the bride of John Doyle Harrison Jr. Saturday evening in the Heights Baptist Church of Temple. Parents of the couple are Mr.

and Mrs. J. C. Gossett and Mr. and Mrs.

John Doyle Harrison of Temple. Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. O. C.

Gossett of Gatesville and Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Pool of Temple.

The bridegroom's grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. John M. Harrison and Mrs. Fern Smith of Temple.

Rev. W. H. Causey officiated and wedding music was furnished by Miss Jan Whatley, organist, and Miss Mary Bell, soloist. Mr.

Gossett gave his daughter in marriage. Her bridal attire was a traditional gown of Chantilly lace over taffeta. The lace bodice featured a Sabrina neckline and long sleeves. The bouffant skirt was fashioned of wide lace ruffles which fell into a chapel train. A crown of pearls and crystals held her veil of illusion.

Her only jewelry was a strand of pearls, a gift of the bridegroom. The bridal bouquet was a cascade of white roses which encircled a white orchid. Miss Susan Prescott was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Cynthia Gossett, sister of the bride, Miss Doris Grayson and Miss Judy Allamon. Bobby Wells served as best man. n.

Groomsmen were Dennis Bolding, Tommy Simmons of Lampasas and Charles Jacques of Belfalls. Butch Prewitt of Temple and Ronnie Harrison of Britains Host Open House In New Home Mr. and Mrs. Lester Britain were hosts for an open house Sunday in their new home, Gateway, located in Sun Valley Addition. JACK WEAVER HOSTS CLUB MEETING Craft and Friendship Club met May 25 in the home of Mrs. Jack Weaver. A memorial Day program was given, followed by a business session. Roll call was answered by each woman telling of something she would like to do for disabled, hospitalized veterans. A demonstration was given by one of the members, Mrs.

Wilhelm, on the making of nylon A special guest, Mrs. Sybil Pierson of Hamilton. demonstrated huck towel weaving. A gift was presented her in appreciation of the time and effort she contributed to the club. Refreshments were served to 14 members and Mrs.

Visits from New Mexico Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Blankenship were in Artesia, N.

last week to attend high school graduation exercises for their grandson, William Frank Newton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Newton. He returned to Gatesville with the Blankenships to spend several weeks visiting them and other Texas relatives. MRS.

JIM KENNEY Miss Mecca Gann, Jim Kenney Pledge Vows in Methodist Rites A ceremony Saturday evening, June 3, in the Flat Methodist Church united in marriage Miss Mecca Gann and Jim Kenney. The double ring vows were read by Rev. Joe Davis be1 fore a small group of relatives. The parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs.

Houston Gann of Route 1, Gatesville, and Mr. and Mrs. James L. Kenney of Ranch, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Wedding music was furnished by Mrs.

Ronald Graves, pianist, and Mrs. James Everts, vocalist. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length gown of English net embroidered with petal design crystals over silk peau de soie. It was banded at the sleeves and hemline with crystal crepe. A capelet of six white rosettes and pearl petals held her illusion veil.

Her bridal bouquet was of white roses, centered with an orchid. The bride's sister, Mrs. Sandra Nagy, was matron of honor and Miss Sandra Sanford was bridesmaid. Their floor length gowns of green linen lace were fashioned with high bodices and A-line skirts. They carried bouquets of daisies and greenery.

Best man was Ronnie Sewalt of Chico and groomsman was Gilbert Bell of Sanderson. Ushering were Robert Murry Jr. of Arlington and Thomas Yows of College Station. Rossue Bell and Bill Bell of Sanderson, niece and nephew of the bridegroom, were flower girl and ring bearer. A lawn reception was held, immediately following the ceremony, at the home of the bride's uncle and aunt, Mr.

and Mrs. Taylor were candlelighters. Kathy Sue Grayson was flow. er girl and Jimmy Ray Gossett of Flat was ring bearer. A reception was held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony.

Mrs. Harrison is a 1966. gra: duate of Temple High School and attended Temple Junior College. Mr. Harrison is also a graduate of Temple High School.

The couple will live in Huntsville where he is attending Sam Houston State College, majoring in agriculture. Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Harrison hosted a rehearsal dinner in the Fountain Room of the Kyle Hotel in Temple.
