RESPONSIBILITIESPerform on-site technical work to install and maintain computer equipment and network and software applications throughout the district or at assigned campus. Respond to work order requests by diagnosing and repairing network and computer hardware.
QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:Knowledge of computer workstation setup in a Windows 10 environment.
Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications
Ability to install, maintain, and repair computers and peripherals
Ability to install and maintain network cables and hardware
Ability to diagnose problems and perform repairs
Comp TIA A+ certification or equivalent preferred.
EXPERIENCE:Power Shell experience highly desirable1 year of work experience installing, maintaining, and repairing computers and peripherals
2 years or more preferred
RESPONSIBILITIESTechnical SupportInstall, configure, maintain, and upgrade computers and peripherals, network cabling, and network peripherals throughout the district. Relocate computer hardware, peripherals, and equipment as needed. Lifting 40 lbs. and greater, working on a ladder, routing cable, and installing or adjusting projectors are common tasks you will be expected to perform.Provide technical assistance to users of computers, instructional equipment, and software.
Install and configure application and operating system software and upgrades.
Track assigned work orders and their resolution through the help desk system.
Use desktop management system to deploy computer images and install software. Use remote management tools to provide support when possible.
Create user permissions as appropriate to access network drives and software applications. Experience with O365 Azure AD highly desired.Knowledge of Student Information Systems such as Skyward, knowledge of Educational platforms such as Clever, Seesaw, and Microsoft Teams highly desired.Equipment Repair and MaintenanceDiagnose and repair hardware issues, including printers, personal computers, and classroom AV equipment such as projectors.
Remove old equipment and perform data migration to new machines or re-image as needed.
Service equipment according to established maintenance schedule. Maintain accurate updated records of maintenance.
Maintain accurate records of time and materials required to perform repairs and service.
InventoryMaintain accurate inventory of hardware, software, and other equipment and material at assigned site(s).
Identify, request, and control the inventory of repair parts.
OtherCompile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents.
Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Educator Certification rule, and local board policy. Comply with all district and campus routines and regulations.
Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
SALARYPay Grade 7 of the Clerical Paraprofessional Pay Plan based on the salary schedule currently in effect by Board Policy and Administrative Regulations.
