I don't think the original had any mistakes, except that "logic" is uncountable. (The person above me didn't even correct that bit, though.)

I think it sounds a bit more polished this way:
I think that if you put too much energy into trying to follow proper English grammar or rules, you'll just sound robotic, and you won't be able to really convey your feelings genuinely. So I've always tried to ignore all the purportedly "logical" stuff to make myself sound more natural.
